Log file from Mike - Aaelin. The Inn of the Silver Badger(#3069Rnt) Cheerful voice exits the bright, and often open windows of the Inn of the Silver Badger. During the day, the bright sunlight beams into the large entry chamber; the tavern. At night, the tavern is alight with brilliant lights of the torches, hidden in sconces upon the walls. Maids and barmaids weave in and out of the usually crowded chamber. Always does a smile seem plastered upon their lips. Some come from the kitchen, on the other side of the front door, to the doors right. Others come from a stairway, opposite from the front door. Contents: Lothgar(#2913PeACcF) Kaelye(#6POXeAC@cF) Obvious exits: West leads to Kitchen. Up leads to Second Floor. Out leads to Street of Peace. The sun has long gone down and left the mighty city of Linas and darkness, yet at the Inn of the Silver Badger there is yet light, provided by lanterns. The common room is yet still full of people, who sit at the inn's tables gossiping, swapping tales, and even two games of dice. The barkeeper stands behind his bar, resting his hands on its top and leaning, waiting for another customer. The customer he waits for doesn't keep him waiting long, for a moment later the inn's door opens to admit a young looking man. As the light of the inn falls on him, he's features become more defined, and he could be said to almost have an aelvish look to him. Walking towards the bar, he greets the barkeep with a nod and orders himself a glass of wine. Taking a seat, he turns, leaning his back on the bar, to see who all is in the inn's common room this eve. The door to the inn opens and shuts again, no one having come in. Moments later, a girl, roughly around the age of twenty, enters, rubbing her head with a free hand. Upon entering, she pauses and glances around, to make sure no one was looking at her. With a hand still pressed against her forehead, and her other, holding firmly onto an object wrapped in cloth, Kaelye approaches the bar, embarrassedly asking for some water. She leans against the bar and slowly unwraps her prized possession. Her gaze goes over the other folks near her and slides back to the man who spoke to her earlier. Her expression hard and measuring as she awaits an answer from him, if any is forthcoming. Barrik recieves the water from the barmaid. After he takes his sip he looks to Maia and Kaelye, "I am sorry for my rudeness, I have not been having a good day, I have a lot on my mind and I apologize for being rude." Barrik then feels a tap on his shoulder hearing, "Sir, have we met?" He turns around and sees a man wearing a gauntlet on one hand, and a little spit forming from the corner of his mouth, "No Sir we have not met, my name is Barrik Halastor, Knight of Justice, and yours? Nodding his head, the half-ael says, "No problem at all. Accidents do happen, from time to time." Setting the empty wine glass down on the bar after finishing the last of its contents, he says, as the barkeeper refills the glass, "I'm not one to cause a problem over one little accident, especially if I know it wasn't done intentionally." A smirk forms upon the face of Logan as he stretches his hand to meet the knight's. Suddenly a messenger bursts in the door and comes to Barrik. A few words are exchanged and Barrik throws a few cones on the bar and gives everyone a hasty good bye before giving a hasty exit from the inn. Logan shakes his head at the events that have taken place and soon takes up spot to where the knight had previously been. his eyes turn to Kaelye and his lips part and out comes the word, "Logan." I recover lost items of value for people." (In the minds of some, this would translate to: Thief). He glances towards the knight as he rushes out, returning the goodbyes gesture with a nod. He then turns to watch Logan, as the giant speaks to the young lady, Kaelye. Wizard: Jerric says, "This should be interesting, I haven't really been considering how one would RP as a Kaylin to much." WOn't you h-h-have a drink?" She grabs her own and pushes it towards him. The girl scratches her forehead nervously, and her fingers shake some. WHy is she so nervous? By the look in her eye, obviously not even she knows. Coming into the door as a human brushes pass him, Da'vin looks to the man briefly before turning back to scan the crowd inside the tavern. Closing the door quietly behind him he lets his eyes grow accustomed to the light inside before moving quietly to the bar. Maia blinks and a look of perhaps disappointment crosses her face as the man leaves. Could it be that she was looking forward to a fight? She shrugs and grabs her mug, taking a healthy sip. Her eyes look over the group talking near her slowly and almost rudely. Hostility, or perhaps it's just sullenness or childishness, plainly on her face.
